Junior English may not be the first name to skank into a roots and dub-lover's head when checking out a gloriously Rasta-infused album from the late 1970's. Blessed with a clean sweet voice equal to Pat Kelly or Junior Murvin and a superb production talent, unfortunately he is now most remembered for honeyed UK lovers hits.
But unknown to many, he also took the reign on some heavyweight sessions in Jamaica resulting in his Natural High album and its dub partial-counterpart Burning Dub utilizing the best studio band in the land - The Revolutionaries.
1978 was a busy year for with a number of albums recorded and finding release through the Burning Sounds Company via Junior's old friend Clement Bushay.
Burning Dub came about as many dub albums of the period did, by reusing tracks already recorded.
Recorded at Channel One with Sly Dunbar and all his Revolutionary colleagues it really is a long lost classicCD
