His importance to the furtherance of Jamaican music as a producer, arranger, writer, and artist is beyond compare and he played an integral role in, and was the inspiration for, many of the key movements in the development of reggae throughout the Sixties and Seventies. 

Omar Perry is an accomplished performer in his own right with an impressive track record and 'Channelling Lee Scratch Perry' leaves the listener in no doubt as to where Omar and Olivier Gangloff , the producer of Scratch’s final studio album ‘Heaven’ (Burning Sounds BSRCD/LP 840) are coming from.
